DAY 1 - 2nd June -Brisbane to Uluru

Today meet your fellow travellers at Brisbane Domestic airport before we depart for our flight to Uluru. Upon arrival at Ayers Rock Airport we will be transferred by air-conditioned coach to Sails in the Desert, our home for the next four nights.

This evening we come together to experience the spectacular Field of Lights – Star Pass, where upon arrival to the Field of Lights, you walk up a slight rise to view the sun setting over Uluru and the spectacular display of lights begin to appear. Enjoy drinks and canapes before you wander through the beautiful Field of Lights.

Dinner is your own arrangements. We recommend that you make a reservation in advance.

DAY 2 - 3rd June - Uluru

After an early breakfast, we depart for a guided base tour of Uluru, designed to introduce you to the natural and cultural landscapes of this remarkable region. Deepen your understanding of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park at the Culture Centre before we drive around the complete the base circuit. Enjoy a leisurely guided walk at Kuniya, to see the local rock art and the Mutijutu Waterhole, as well as a short stop at Mala. We return to our hotel early afternoon, where you can enjoy free time.

Tonight, we experience the magical “Sounds of Silence,” an evening of dining under the sparkling outback sky. Your evening begins with canapes and chilled sparkling wine upon a dune top overlooking the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. As the sun sets and darkness falls, listen to the sound of a didgeridoo and join your fellow travellers for an unforgettable dining experience.

DAY 3 - 4th June - Uluru

We have an early start this morning for our Uluru Sunrise Tour. Experience the tranquility of the pre-dawn land under a canopy of stars. Watch the amazing transformation of colours and life as the desert awakens with Uluru as your backdrop. After experiencing a magical sunrise, we return to the hotel for breakfast.

The remainder of the day is free to relax and enjoy the hotel facilities or participate in one of the many local experiences including bush yarns, guided garden walks, didgeridoo workshop or paint your own Australian animals, or take advantage of some of the wonderful optional touring available from Uluru, before we head out for the afternoon.

This afternoon we depart for our Kata Tjuta Sunset tour, taking you to the inspiring red-hued sedimentary rock domes of Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). First, we stop and enjoy the sensational panoramic view of Kata Tjuta from the dedicated viewing area, followed by a walk into the magnificent Walpa Gorge, a desert refuge for plants and animals, and explore the surrounding area. As evening approaches, enjoy sparkling wine and nibbles as each passing minute brings something new as the domes continue to change colour with the setting sun. We return to the hotel early evening where you can enjoy dinner at one of the in-house restaurants.

DAY 4 - 5th June- Uluru

Today is a free day. Optional touring is available for your time in Uluru. We recommend that you book these with your Travel Advisor prior to departure, to avoid disappointment:

• Full day tour to Kings Canyon
• Uluru & Kata Tjuta Helicopter Scenic Flight
• Sunrise or Sunset Camel Ride
• Field of Lights Sunrise
• Uluru Segways Tour
• Cycle or walk the full base circuit of Uluru

This evening we have our farewell group dinner at the Ilkari Restaurant.

DAY 5 - 6th June - Uluru to Brisbane

Breakfast is at leisure, prior to our check out. Today you may choose to enjoy the hotel facilities or participate in one of the many local experiences before we say farewell to Uluru and enjoy our final lunch together in Uluru. We return to Ayers Rock Airport this afternoon for our flight to Brisbane.
